About the role
- Write, produce, and direct short-form digital video and social media content, including patient stories, medical expert advice, explainers, and promos.
- Conduct casting research/outreach and interviews with medical experts and people with chronic health conditions.
- Produce remote video recordings over Zoom.
- The ability to produce rare on-location shoots is a plus, including directing talent, hiring crew, renting equipment, managing budget, sourcing locations, and handling shoot logistics.
- Develop, pitch, and produce new ideas and concepts.
- Create treatments and presentation decks.
- Manage the post-production process: create paper cuts, manage video editors, process feedback, and deliver projects end-to-end, on schedule and within budget.
- Apply project management tools (Asana) to maintain communication workflow and stay on deadline.
- Collaborate across departments, communicating clearly with client alliance managers, content editorial teams, vendors, and freelancers.
- Stay up to date on trending social content, AI, technical developments, and industry standards to help improve workflow efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of producing experience in digital video production
- Background in digital video and social media consumer health and pharma content
- A track record of producing high visibility video for major social media platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)
- Experience casting real people and using creativity and diligence to find rare casting requests
- A content creator mentality and skill set, with the potential to host and speak on camera a plus
- A portfolio of work showing editorial judgement, technical skill, and creativity
- The ability to interview and connect with individuals on a wide range of sensitive topics, from emotional stories to medical content
- Experience producing remote shoots and field producing
- Professional writing and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with managing multiple projects across different stages of production and using project management tools in a deadline-driven environment
- A detail-oriented, organized, curious, proactive, independent self-starter, a good listener, and a team player
- Experience with Google Workspace, Asana, Zoom recording, and Brightcove is a plus
- Interest in consumer health, health equity, and patient advocacy.
