About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the technical integrity, safety, and quality of high-voltage AIS and GIS projects.
- Manage the successful installation, maintenance, and commissioning of critical infrastructure.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the AIS/GIS product unit and service clients.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and any product issues to the AIS/GIS Project Manager.
- Lead daily management and task allocation for field teams.
- Foster a culture of safety on-site, promoting best practices and continuous improvement in safety standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive hands-on experience in substation primary plant construction and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage AIS/GIS equipment and related infrastructure.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks and safety standards, particularly the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
- Capability to manage quality assurance processes, including identifying and documenting nonconformities.
- Formal education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (such as City & Guilds, ONC, HND, or equivalent) is nice to have.
