About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review the project scope and compare it to the quotation during the handover of the project from the Commercial group to Project Management.
  • Lead the project kickoff meeting with all internal contributors and assign roles and responsibilities.
  • Lead the kickoff meeting with the client to communicate the nature of the work to be performed and clarify any issues in the order.
  • Coordinate all project-related activities, including on-site activities.
  • Track project spending against the budget (costs, materials, labor).
  • Lead and prepare summaries/minutes for project follow-up meetings (internal and external).
  • Prepare and present project reviews to organizational management.
  • Communicate and regularly update the client on project progress.
  • Manage on-site subcontractor contracts.
  • Follow up with Purchasing and Procurement regarding supplier deliveries.
  • Track project deviations and negotiate contract variations.
  • Execute billing in accordance with contract terms.
  • Produce the project's post-mortem analysis report.
  • Perform the administrative project close-out.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • This role requires significant experience in project management.
  • Education level equivalent to a university master’s degree or an accredited college diploma.
  • Hold a university degree specialized in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years proven project management experience (relevant to the role).
  • Bilingual — fluent in spoken and written English and French.
