About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and nuclear power plants for their Turbine Generator Systems
Responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents and P&ID’s, troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment
Planning, organizing, integrating and direction of resources such as labor, tools, and materials as required to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements
Fulfill contract responsibilities for designated and qualified skill set (Steam Turbine Mechanical, and Generator)
Direct and oversee repair or inspection procedures utilizing the latest electronic communication, references, and documentation technologies.
Recognize, Predict, and document potential failures and future outage recommendations
Working knowledge of prints/print reading, such as manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic drawings
Participate as a Service Team member dedicated to Safety metrics
Lead execution and oversight of projects under the TFA’s core competency
Execute project management and technical leader duties
Support warranty administration and troubleshooting issues
Perform other duties as assigned
Support business needs when not on field assignment
Willingness and ability to travel as required by field assignments
Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Technical/University degree or qualifying experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Field Services role
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas or power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or power plant equipment installation/commissioning
3+ year of demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with various types of turbine generator equipment and site accountabilities is required
Ability and willingness to travel 80% across North America (Canada - United States - Mexico)
Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted security access to nuclear facilities across North America
Must be physically able to walk 5 miles per day, climb ladders and lift 20 lbs.
