About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure a strong and efficient interface between Supplier Quality and Strategic Sourcing, Engineering and Quality Value Streams functions
- Support Global Configured Systems SQ Leader in developing and implementing a single global strategic plan
- Serve as a functional leader of the community of Technical Leaders and other SQ specialists
- Promote safety, compliance, quality, and lean mindset in the Configured Systems SQ Team
- Define, maintain, and harmonize standard work necessary for effective qualification of suppliers
- Coordinate timely and effective technical and quality methodology support to SQ Engineers
- Identify, deploy, and communicate the network of SQ contact points for each Configured Systems sub-commodity
- Set up data-driven operating rhythm to review, challenge, and support qualification needs
- Actively participate in Strategic Sourcing commodity reviews
- Align with Engineering Leaders in identifying and leading supplier development programs
- Support Global Configured Systems SQ Leader in planning of a proactive global audit program
- Train and deploy SQE resources to execute SDR and NCR resolution
- Ensure that residual risks after First Part Qualifications are mitigated
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Design or Quality Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Work experience in quality, operations/supply chain or project management
- Must be able to travel 25%
- Fluent in English language
- Experience in HRSG, MSD and/or BoP product scope or similar, with proficiency to understand technical drawings, specifications, and standards
- Experience working within complex, multi-site, multi-region organizations
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate across all organizational levels, departments, and functions
- Highly developed safety, compliance, quality, and lean mindset
- Humble, open, collaborative, and continuously learning.
- Proficient with Lean Six Sigma DMAIC, 8D, or other Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis techniques
- Experience interfacing with customers and senior leaders
- Willingness to travel to supplier and customer sites when such need arises
