Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a variety of projects including technical evaluations and analyses in Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses
Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses
Deliver products at a consistently high and sustainable level in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines
Utilize unique opportunities to create and/or improve cutting-edge automation and methods
Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations
Perform technical verification of engineering technical deliverables
Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions
Perform in cross-disciplinary settings, engaged with interfacing teams responsible for mechanical design, core design, licensing, systems design, or other affiliated organizations to find optimum customer solutions
Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar)
At least 5 years of relevant nuclear experience
Access to U.S. export-controlled information (final offers contingent on obtaining authorization)
Master's degree in engineering; or Senior Reactor Operator Certification (desired)
Experience with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic systems codes (desired)
Experience with BWR Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses (desired)
Knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response (desired)
Knowledge of fundamental principles of nuclear engineering (desired)
Experience in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques (desired)
Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques (desired)
Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements (desired)
Experience with BWR/PWR T-H systems codes such as TRACG, RELAP & TRACE (desired)
Experience in Best Estimate methodology development (e.g., TRACG) (desired)
Experience with Containment codes such as GOTHIC (desired)
Programming experience such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON (desired)
