About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

responsible for activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site
technical site execution role responsible for supporting the Site Manager in the execution of hands-on substation erection, electrical installation, testing, commissioning support, and related site activities during the ITO and/or OTR phase
may lead site activities or smaller projects with virtual supervision from the Site Manager
ensures schedule, quality, and cost are in compliance with contractual obligations, company policy and local regulations
developing specialized knowledge in their discipline
serves as best practice/quality resource
has awareness of latest technical developments in own area
contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility
has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others
uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering
takes new perspective on existing solutions
uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

significant experience in electrical construction, substation erection, site execution, commissioning activities, and/or site leadership for roles outside of the USA
knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
for roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s))
strong oral and written communication skills
strong interpersonal and leadership skills
demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
established project management skills
knowledge of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and substation construction practices
familiarity with applicable electrical safety standards and field execution requirements
