About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own steampath bucket/blade component design in execution of NPI, ITR, and factory/field support activities for new unit and aftermarket services customer orders
Drive technology advancements from overall system, sub-system and component vantage points
Lead appropriate engineering discussions to understand design details and processes to ensure designs are robust and meet all customer requirements.
Follow rigorous NPI and software development tollgate processes from conceptual design through final validation across the full spectrum of Gas Power turbine configurations
Design for EHS/Safety and demonstrate safety skillsets in support of manufacturing and field activities, i.e. lifting and transportation
Demonstrate excellence in applying fundamentals of Mechanical Design, including material properties, statics, strength of materials, fluid dynamics, lifing methods related to fatigue (LCF & HCF) and creep.
Perform finite element analysis using (ANSYS)
Collaborate with global & cross-functional team of internal Steam Turbine Engineers and external stakeholders (Product Definition / Global Supply Chain) enabling & fostering mutual technical growth and delivery for our customers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college
Some experience in designing turbomachinery components
Proficiency in English
