About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the field specialists and field engineers, their personal and skill developments
- Grow and develop the team
- Maintain the field group at the expected level of productivity
- Anticipate business development and develop staffing plans to support the growth
- Sales and operational planning
- Resource loading and planning
- Ensure accurate resource loading and capacity planning to meet project demands
- Maintain the field activity planning up to date
- Manage all the business requests
- Assign mission to the field specialist based on their skills and development needs
- Find good compromise between business requirements and field specialist life balance
- Filter requests and guarantee stability to the field group
- Field process owner; guarantee that the field missions are executed as per the processes.
- Improve the processes based on return of experience
- Supervise 24/7 response; Maintain rotation planning
- Make sure someone answers the calls
- Dispatch calls if required
- Serve as the primary point of escalation and strategic partner for the client
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Cross-Functional collaboration between Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
- Contribute to the development of organizational strategy and policy, ensuring all delivery models align with broader business objectives
- Proactively promote EHS; Maintain Field people trained as per legal requirements.
- Make sure mission risks are properly identified and mitigated.
- Guarantee appropriate PPEs are provided to the field specialist
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years of experience as team manager / Prior field operations experience in Services and operations
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or any B.S. degree with related experience
- 5 years of transmission and Distribution substation engineering for utilities and renewable energy power plants
- Field experience in electrical, mechanical, controls and protection disciplines
- Fluent in English and French
- Experience with EHS risk management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Customer oriented mindset
- Like processes
- Prior GE work experience in GEV GSI group
