About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the oversight and execution of construction, installation, and commissioning on the customer site
- Lead and oversee the full scope of site activities during the Inquiry to Order (ITO) and/or Order to Remittance (OTR) phases for construction, installation, and commissioning
- Act as the primary on-site leader, directly reporting to the Project Director
- Manage, lead, and develop the site team, including contractors and sub-contractors
- Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and cost parameters
- Proactively monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Drive operational excellence through regular site inspections and audits
- Maintain accurate site records, including comprehensive progress reports, daily logs, safety documentation, and quality control checks
- Implement and rigorously enforce comprehensive safety programs and protocols
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in site management or a similar leadership role, preferably in a relevant industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of project management principles, construction methods, and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA 30) - preferred
- Experience specifically within the Clinch River area or similar operational environments - preferred
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management - preferred
- Extensive understanding of power generation and the nuclear industry - preferred
