About the role
- Champion a strong safety culture , ensuring the well-being of your team, partners, and customers in alignment with GE and national standards.
- Lead the daily coordination of troubleshooting crews , ensuring rapid response and efficient resolution of turbine issues.
- Strategically manage non-core activities like proactive climbs and retrofits, optimizing resources by bundling tasks with troubleshooting efforts.
- Act as the primary customer interface , building trust through clear communication and reliable execution of service activities.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams— FPM, Parts, MCUs, Blades, and Maintenance —to maximize turbine availability and streamline operations.
- Inspire and develop your team of technicians, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and excellence .
- Apply your deep knowledge of Operations & Maintenance to plan, organize, and execute work with precision and purpose.
- Drive continuous improvement and productivity initiatives to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, and HR to deliver on business goals and customer commitments.
Requirements
- A strong commitment to quality and safety —you lead by example and prioritize well-being in every decision.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field, or equivalent hands-on experience in field service, operations, or project management, ideally paired with a technical or business apprenticeship.
- Proven experience in wind energy service or a similar technical field, with a deep understanding of troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ability to navigate cross-functional teams and thrive in a matrix organization—collaboration is key.
- A natural relationship builder who can influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills , with a data-driven mindset.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed to support operations and team development.
