About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with Sales during customer meetings to present and promote our energy stability and grid utilities solutions.
- Review and interpret customer specifications to propose the best solution based on our portfolio of structured solutions and products, as far as possible, for front‑end projects and new equipment services.
- Prepare clear and concise technical proposals, including any deviations from customer requirements.
- Travel within France and worldwide, for short periods, to visit customers during tenders or in pre‑sales, to understand and analyze their needs and present our solutions.
- Lead technical negotiation meetings with customers.
- Prepare cost breakdowns for proposed solutions with the support of key contributors such as Purchasing and Engineering.
- Optimize costs by challenging contributors (technically and financially) and refining solutions.
- Adhere to tender deadlines as much as possible.
- Provide technical expertise and support to Sales Directors and commercial operations teams by selecting, implementing and developing competitive solutions.
- Identify technical risks and work with Engineering to mitigate them in accordance with GE procedures.
- Proactively stay informed of market trends and requirements and act as the "voice of the customer" to strategically influence GE's product/system development needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics (engineering school or equivalent) with at least 5–10 years' experience in electrical/power electronics.
- Strong knowledge of high‑voltage grid stabilization applications for TSOs/DSOs (synchronous compensator–type systems, STATCOMs or BESS‑based hybrid systems).
- Ability to work independently in a matrix organization.
- Good organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work concurrently on multiple topics and/or different bids.
- Willingness to travel within the SEMEA region as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English is mandatory.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction principles.
