About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Quickly learn and apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve problems
  • Lead a variety of projects including technical evaluations and analyses in the area of Anticipated Operational Occurrences
  • Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown
  • Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations
  • Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar)
  • At least 2 years of relevant nuclear experience OR Master's degree in engineering
  • Experience with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic systems codes
  • Background in power plant or process plant thermal hydraulics
  • Possess fundamental knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response
  • Knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering
  • Knowledge of power plant or process plant thermal hydraulics
  • Knowledge of two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques
  • Programming experience such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON
