Project Logistics Strategy Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership and oversight to ITO Logistics Specialists
- Review, challenge, and approve logistics plans, freight estimates, schedules, and risk assessments
- Partner with Project Execution teams to validate final shipment scope and requirements
- Develop and issue RFQs to carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers
- Negotiate transportation rates, service agreements, and commercial terms
- Ensure transportation assumptions and schedules are aligned with project execution objectives
- Partner with Corporate Logistics and Sourcing teams to expand strategic carrier networks
- Drive transportation cost optimization and freight spend reduction initiatives
- Support TMS, logistics technology, shipment visibility, and digital transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics activities with business objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10–12 years of experience in Project Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain roles
- Experience supporting large-scale industrial, infrastructure, energy, or capital project environments
- Experience managing domestic and international multimodal transportation operations
- Strong knowledge of heavy haul, super loads, over-dimensional, breakbulk, and multimodal transportation operations
- Knowledge of customs procedures, international trade compliance, and Dangerous Goods transportation requirements
- Ability to develop strategy and drive execution within a matrixed organization
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results on time and within budget
