About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Government Contracts Manager will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing contract leadership and strategic expertise for government project teams across the nuclear portfolio
  • Support all government proposal activities, including Request for Proposal (RFP) analysis, preparation of terms, conditions, and assumptions, and completion of compliance matrices
  • Identify and assess financial and business risks prior to submission
  • Serve as the primary partner to the commercial and project management teams to ensure clear understanding of, and adherence to, applicable regulations
  • Oversee all regulatory filings and reporting required for contract performance
  • Research, draft, review, and negotiate government contracts
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies while monitoring progress and advising management on best practices
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks
  • Provide expert training and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding government-specific contracting matters
  • Partner with the Sourcing team to prepare flow-down packages for subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance
  • Provide ongoing guidance to project teams during the contract execution phase to maintain full compliance with government procurement regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in government contracting
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and lead
  • Proven ability to support multiple stakeholders concurrently and navigate a complex, matrixed organization
  • Strong, demonstrated knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DEAR, and 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance
  • Experience managing various contract types, including FFP, CPFF, IDIQ, Consortium Agreements, Cooperative Agreements, and EPC contracts, as well as contract change management
