About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the commercial team; participate in tender strategy and planning
  • Read and interpret client requirements and determine whether they align with the hydroelectric portfolio (joint definition with the Commercial Operation team)
  • Ensure integration with all other system integrators (generator, turbine, mBoP, etc.) by coordinating required interfaces and agreeing delivery dates to meet objectives on time and with the required quality
  • Develop interfaces with turbine, generator, control and mBoP teams to properly size systems
  • Prepare requests for quotation to send to suppliers and evaluate their technical proposals
  • Prepare the overall costing for plant power evacuation equipment to send to the costing team for consolidation
  • Prepare the main list of deviations / exceptions
  • Provide technical support to the sales team in client-facing situations, addressing questions and delivering presentations
  • Support global supply chain activities for quality assurance and worldwide execution
  • Innovate in the tendering process to improve delivery times, quality and accuracy
  • Prioritize, plan and execute tasks while delivering your own work packages across multiple technical tenders run in parallel.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Control Systems
  • Significant overall experience, including engineering experience in protection or electrical systems engineering
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong expertise in plant power evacuation equipment (generator circuit breaker, power transformer, phase-segregated bus ducts/enclosed busbars, frequency converter, electrical protection relays, power system studies, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret different Grid Codes and country-specific regulations for a given project
  • Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency with applicable engineering tools and systems
  • Experience working with suppliers, OEMs, or clients
  • Knowledge of hydroelectric power plants
  • Willingness to contribute to innovative solutions, cost-reduction initiatives and process improvements
  • Ability to make decisions with a strong customer focus.
