About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the safe, reliable and high-performance operation of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems
Deliver expert maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support across installed assets
Execute critical maintenance procedures on BESS assets including BMS, inverters, switchgear and SCADA interfaces
Apply OEM-aligned technical standards for maintenance and testing
Diagnose and resolve system issues across electrical, control and communication systems
Conduct essential testing and verification to validate system integrity
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for maintenance records
Collaborate across project and site teams for maintenance activities
Adhere to all EHS policies and improve engineering standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments
Willing to work overtime as required by field assignments
Professionally diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues
Interpret schematics, troubleshoot BESS, PCS and HV systems
Capable of working safely at remote sites, prioritising multiple tasks
Understanding of BESS architectures, SCADA/PLC systems, commissioning protocols
Expertise in hands-on electrical work, point-to-point testing, insulation resistance checks
