AI Governance Project Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help develop guidelines for responsible HR use of AI, including practical examples of acceptable and unacceptable use cases
- Partner with HR, Legal, Privacy, Digital Technology, and other stakeholders to translate policy principles into usable guidance for HR teams
- Support the creation of communications, materials, and decision-making resources to help HR leaders and practitioners use AI responsibly
- Monitor emerging AI trends and best practices to ensure guidance remains relevant and actionable
- Support governance related to the use of HR data in AI agents and other AI-enabled tools, both within HR and across the broader enterprise
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define controls, standards, and approval processes for the use of sensitive or regulated HR data
- Help establish clear expectations for how HR data may be used, shared, stored, and accessed in AI-related solutions
- Coordinate and support engagement with worker councils related to GE Vernova’s AI and Robotics & Automation strategy
- Partner with HR, Employee Relations, Legal, Operations, and business leaders to prepare materials, messaging, and discussion points for worker council interactions
- Help ensure worker council engagement is well-planned, consistent, and aligned to enterprise strategy and local requirements
- Support discussions related to the use of AI tools for HR service delivery, helping to explain intended use, employee impact, and governance considerations
- Track commitments, feedback, and follow-up actions to support effective stakeholder management and trust-building
- Stay current on evolving AI, regulatory, labor, and workforce trends and translate insights into practical recommendations for GE Vernova
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, Technology, or a related field preferred
- 8+ years of experience in HR transformation, employee relations, governance, compliance, organizational effectiveness, change management, or enterprise program management
- Strong understanding of AI governance, responsible technology use, privacy, or data-related risk considerations
- Experience working in matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders and complex decision-making structures
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and influence without direct authority
- Strong communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to navigate sensitive topics with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion
- Analytical, structured, and highly organized approach to problem-solving and execution
- Background partnering with HR, Legal, Privacy, Employee Relations, or Technology teams
- Familiarity with works councils, labor relations, or employee consultation processes
- Exposure to AI governance, digital ethics, responsible AI frameworks, or AI-enabled HR tools
- Experience supporting policy development, operating model design, or enterprise change initiatives
