About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and mentor matrixed team with a focus on fabrication and installation work planning
Lead integrated approaches and solutions across the diverse plant disciplines or specialties of; Mechanical component design, equipment design, licensing support, procurement, testing, and providing direction for installation and operational requirements
Coordinate across matrixed Engineering teams to review, disposition, and provide vendor direction related drawing, specification, non-conformance, procedure, etc.
Lead preparation of work planning, scheduling, and resource loading across Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction of components
Support project engineering or manager with understanding execution metrics and status, issues, risks, mitigation or recovery plans.
Drive compliance with; scope, work plan, budget, and overall schedule
Champion nuclear safety culture – Ensure compliance with GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) policies, quality management system, and corrective action program

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics or equivalent 4-year technical degree from an accredited college or university
7 years of experience in heavy industrial, thermal power, or nuclear industry working in mechanical equipment and component design, including specification of design requirements, design development, procurement, test, and fabrication/installation support
4 years of experience with ASME Section III codes & standards or equivalent
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to domestic and international plant sites
