About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and mentor matrixed team with a focus on fabrication and installation work planning
  • Lead integrated approaches and solutions across the diverse plant disciplines or specialties of; Mechanical component design, equipment design, licensing support, procurement, testing, and providing direction for installation and operational requirements
  • Coordinate across matrixed Engineering teams to review, disposition, and provide vendor direction related drawing, specification, non-conformance, procedure, etc.
  • Lead preparation of work planning, scheduling, and resource loading across Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction of components
  • Support project engineering or manager with understanding execution metrics and status, issues, risks, mitigation or recovery plans.
  • Drive compliance with; scope, work plan, budget, and overall schedule
  • Champion nuclear safety culture – Ensure compliance with GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) policies, quality management system, and corrective action program

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics or equivalent 4-year technical degree from an accredited college or university
  • 7 years of experience in heavy industrial, thermal power, or nuclear industry working in mechanical equipment and component design, including specification of design requirements, design development, procurement, test, and fabrication/installation support
  • 4 years of experience with ASME Section III codes & standards or equivalent
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to domestic and international plant sites
