Key responsibilities & impact

The Principal Engineer holds significant technical authority within their domain, setting standards and making decisions that influence project outcomes
Lead end-to-end design, analysis, and implementation of engineering solutions for moderate-to-high complexity projects
Own crucial projects for the success of Steam Turbine Engineering
Act as a technical resource and subject matter expert within Steam Turbine Design & Integration
Review and approve engineering documentation and deliverables
Drive innovation & stay current with relevant technologies
Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project execution
Drive problem resolution across disciplines, identifying risks & mitigations to the system level
Mentor and coach next generation engineers; facilitate knowledge sharing across teams
Lead the development of technical standards, best practices, design practices and process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

major experience in Engineering/Technology & Services Engineering
Knowledge level comparable to a Master’s degree from an accredited university or college
Demonstrated expertise in subject matter area applying fundamentals of Mechanical Design, including material properties, statics/dynamics, strength of materials, fluid dynamics, lifing methods related to fatigue (LCF & HCF), Stress/Strain, Creep, Heat Transfer
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
At least 8 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity
