About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the company's technical point of contact throughout the entire Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) phase.
Provide technical expertise and develop technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) as part of the pre-ITO (requisition) process while interacting with the commercial/sales team.
Deliver high technical quality in GE proposals, including processes and programs that make proposals more acceptable (compliant or clearly explained), efficient and cost-competitive for the customer, while reducing overall performance risk.
Responsible for the accuracy of technical proposals, including technical specifications and clarifications, assumptions/exceptions, quantification of design and deliverables, definition of installation scope of work, cost allocation, bill of materials, and estimation of engineering, installation and testing/commissioning based on customer specifications and/or industry standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience in design, studies, specifications, estimating and construction on substation, transmission or generation projects for the power generation/distribution/transmission industry.
Minimum 2 years of experience in preparing and managing technical proposals.
Up to 20% travel (which may include international travel) and must comply with all relevant corporate travel and tax policies.
