About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct RMS studies including short circuit, load flow, temporary overvoltage’s, and harmonics analysis to ensure efficient grid operation.
- Perform occasional EMT studies focusing on events like lightning strikes and switching transients.
- Conduct RAM studies to assess the reliability, availability, and maintainability of power systems.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of the Power System Analysis (PSA) process and RAM studies process.
- Lead subcontracting efforts for PSA and RAM studies, ensuring efficient collaboration and timely delivery of results.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to Wind, Solar, HVDC, and HV substations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting power system studies and delivering technical specifications.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for power system analysis (PSCAD).
- Experience in managing subcontractors and ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with power transmission domains including Wind, Solar, HVDC, and HV substations.
