About the role

  • As a leader of the Methods, Analysis and Design (MAD) team you will be an active contributor to the development of BWR and non-BWR products
  • Support the development of technical talent and depth within the team
  • Provide leadership, resources and training needed to assure high quality deliverables in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures and regulatory agency guidelines
  • Interface with project management and direct resources to execute to defined project work schedules and priorities
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with policies and procedures
  • Interface with internal customers, external customers and the NRC on technical issues
  • Act as a leader in company/business initiatives
  • Support GVH quality requirements, including participation in design reviews, initiating and responding to Condition Reports, identifying and providing needed training and mentoring, and maintaining adequate levels of qualified personnel

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical or similar)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a technology or engineering role
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a people and/or technical leadership position
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Strong delivery mindset
  • Experience with Services and NPP projects
  • Previous technical leadership experience or ownership in key technical areas
  • Working knowledge of applied statistical framework of nuclear reactor core and fuel licensing, technical specifications, safety margin basis, and related Federal Regulations
  • Knowledge of nuclear analysis processes and the related interfaces between the GE Energy - Nuclear businesses
  • Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others
  • Team player with strong leadership capabilities
  • Legacy of delivering on commitments; tenacious, with a proven track record of overcoming obstacles
  • Ability to achieve stretch targets
  • Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity
  • Must be eligible for access to U.S. export-controlled information
