About the role
- Perform fuel move activities at PWR and BWR customer sites
- Hold a position on the GVH Fuel Movement Council and act as Subject Matter Expert for internal MCO-Fuel Movement Training
- Lead field project delivery including technical direction, work coordination, and supervision of mixed teams (GE employees, contractors, and craft labor) at customer sites
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and suppliers on commercial, technical, and compliance matters
- Work collaboratively within integrated services teams
- Support PWR product line operations as primary responsibility
- Provide BWR product line support as needed
- Interface with Customer Service, Commercial Operations, Planning & Staffing, and Training departments
- Provide expertise on tooling and equipment requirements
- Meet internal and external customer expectations and requirements
- Gather first-hand customer feedback to drive product and service improvements
- Maintain strict adherence to integrity, safety, and quality metrics and processes
- Support Product Line Leaders as required
- During non-outage periods, serve in training leadership roles at the San Jose Training Facility as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related degree discipline from an accredited college or university
- 3 years of experience with Refuel Outage Activities within the Nuclear Industry OR High School Diploma or Equivalent 7 years of experience with Refuel Outage Activities within the Nuclear Industry
- Experience as a qualified Manipulator Crane Operator (Supported 3+ outages in role)
- Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability and willingness to climb and descend 10 flights of stairs twice per day
- Ability and willingness to pass respirator fit test and physical
- Ability and willingness to pass Fitness For Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access
- Ability and willingness to work under high stress conditions
- Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled areas and radioactively contaminated areas
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% domestically and internationally plant sites
- Ability and willingness to work 12 hours / day seven days per week (when delivering of field projects)
