About the role
- Implement transformative change in PM process and tools across engineering ensuring requirements are defined with requisite buy-in from stakeholders
- Define the vision and maintain discipline to execute to plan
- Lead resources to maintain accurate program schedules and drive productivity in scheduling activities
- Establish Daily Management Lean practices to help improve program management
- Ensure the successful monitoring and governance of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Establish frameworks and standards for Program Management
- Define and embed project control and governance
- Embrace GE Vernova Way principles (We Drive Innovation, We Serve Our Customers, Lean is How we Work, Win as One Team, and We are Accountable)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in a technical or business degree.
- 5+ years experience in project management, operations and/or related
- Wind Power industry experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or in process of being certified
- Knowledgeable of engineering, product management, and supply chain processes
- Strong organizational/ project execution skills and prior success in working with or leading cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated leadership, team building, and communication skills, ability to coach and teach others
- Appropriate experience driving process improvement, preferably within an Engineering or Projects organization
- Proven to be effective driving outcomes in a large, globally matrixed organization
- Comfortable with conflict but leads as a collaborator, facilitator and strong partner
- Critical, systems thinker with the ability to bring others along, even those with conflicting priorities
- Strong analytical skills; data-driven but decisive despite ambiguity
- Strategic thinking and problem solving
- Knowledge of project tracking tools, processes, and practices
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interface with leadership with confidence and clarity
- Strong interpersonal and leaderships skills to gain acceptance and buy in from other matrix functions to accomplish improvement projects
