About the role
- responsible for driving thorough and timely PPAP execution in compliance to internal procedures and APQP requirements
- own KPIs for assigned suppliers and their performance to quality expectations
- Conduct/lead supplier Root Cause Analysis, and drive effective containment on quality issues and reduced quality risk
- Identify and implement process improvements via close collaboration with Supplier and internal GE Vernova Technical team members
- Execute supplier PPAP/qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
- Drive PPAP rigor to APQP and internal procedure requirements
- Cross functional collaboration with engineering/sourcing/product management to achieve alignment towards quality objectives
- Execute audit plan on assigned components/suppliers
- Support and lead where necessary analysis and containment of supplier escaping defects
Requirements
- experience in Manufacturing & Supplier Quality Engineering
- Technical experience with Electrical systems
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent (Minimum)
- Problem Solving and structured RCA process execution experience
- Knowledge and application of APQP, PPAP, Measurement system analysis, PFMEA, Statistical process capability, RCA methods and Auditing
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex workload independently
- Experience with Lean techniques and tools
- Flexibility to work with cross functional teams in multiple time zones including US, Europe
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
