About the role
- Owns Customer Discovery Process: conducts preparation, facilitates execution, and owns follow-through for Customer Discovery strategy sessions with Customer and Internal leadership teams.
- Connects market trends to target customer personas for Discovery planning.
- Delivers Market Intelligence: educates and informs Americas sales organization on relevant market trends.
- Connects market changes to commercial opportunities working with Strategy & Growth team, ITR teams, Business Lines, and Product Management.
- Drives Account Management rigor through identification of pipeline growth opportunities and potential gaps in pipeline.
- Captures Voice of Customer: Translates customer feedback into strategic business and Product Management processes, such as Long-Term Strategy and Multi-Generational Product Planning.
- Serves as an energy industry SME and collects VOC during industry and customer forums.
- Requires specialized knowledge across product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups.
- Requires strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy for Americas sales territory.
- Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
- Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers.
- Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers.
- Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations.
- Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
- Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics.
- May guide others to consider a different point of view.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s))
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Ability to organize market intelligence in a structured manner
- Experience using AI tools to increase productivity
