About the role
- Own, lead, execute, and resolve assigned critical and minor RCAs in the Electrical team from both technical and operational perspective
- Drive root cause analysis to achieve timely and robust issue resolution
- Address emerging issues and reduce part failures for all electrical components
- Define and implement fast track containment for the assigned RCAs
- Develop effective relationships with the Fleet Performance, NPI Engineering, Field, Sourcing, Parts and Quality teams
- Track the impact of assigned RCAs on availability
- Use KPSs to track the progress of assigned RCAs
- Support escalated field cases related with assigned RCA’s
- Mentor junior RCA team leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant work experience preferably in the wind or power generation industry
- Previous deep technical understanding on electrical components and systems
- Detailed understanding of the product development cycle
- Detailed understanding of the 8D problem solving process
- Proven RCA technical expertise and project closure
- Root Cause Analysis Training or Certification (8-D, Apollo, Shainin or similar)
- Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time
- Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Master’s Degree or above in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
