About the role
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for craneless MCU solutions
- define operations/field/tool center CTQs (critical-to-quality requirements)
- provide feasibility inputs throughout design
- develop validation plans
- lead validation and beta periods
- fully operationalize deployment across relevant regions
- Lead end-to-end operational deployment
- Provide counsel to the GEV execution teams and supply vendors to maximize asset utilization
- Create and lead qualification plans for third-party vendors operating equipment and/or delivering the deployed repair solutions
- Provide technical direction as needed to resolve uncertainties and emergent issues
- Lead continuous improvement and lean efforts for new and existing capabilities
- Develop new processes and repair solutions and lead their global deployment
- Act as the primary liaison between Global Projects & Services and Wind Engineering for tooling and repair development and deployment
- Lead global validation and beta testing of tooling and process solutions
- Close out validation findings with clear action plans
- Define global training requirements and strategy for new tooling/repair products
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Installation or Repair Field Engineering experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of MCU craneless development, operations, or field execution experience
- Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, which includes international travel
- Liftra Self Hoisting Crane development and/or execution MCU and/or Installation field execution experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- REDP (Renewable Energy Development Program), RELP (Renewable Energy Leadership Program), FEP (Field Engineering Program) graduate (GE Employee's only)
- Repair or Installation Engineering experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Established project management skills
- Proficiency in technical writing and process documentation
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
