About the role
- Provide direction, technical leadership, resource management, and coordination of the efforts by the Transient Analysis team supporting the BWRX mega-project
- Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations
- Perform technical verifications of engineering technical deliverables
- Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical mentoring
- Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions
- Implement continual improvement of safety analysis work processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years commercial nuclear power industry experience
- M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering (Desired)
- Prior experience with thermal-hydraulic methods (eg, TRAC, RELAP)
- Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response
- Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques
- Extensive knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR
- Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity
- Detail-oriented and accountable for results
- Ability to communicate with credibility and confidence
- Strong drive for continuous improvement
