About the role

  • Provide direction, technical leadership, resource management, and coordination of the efforts by the Transient Analysis team supporting the BWRX mega-project
  • Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations
  • Perform technical verifications of engineering technical deliverables
  • Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical mentoring
  • Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions
  • Implement continual improvement of safety analysis work processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 years commercial nuclear power industry experience
  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering (Desired)
  • Prior experience with thermal-hydraulic methods (eg, TRAC, RELAP)
  • Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response
  • Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR
  • Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity
  • Detail-oriented and accountable for results
  • Ability to communicate with credibility and confidence
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement
