About the role

  • Overseeing sales of the full Grid Automation (GA) portfolio, including products, services, solutions, and projects
  • Developing market strategies for DACH (acting as team lead for DACH), Eastern Europe, and CIS regions in collaboration with local sales teams and leaders
  • Managing forecasts in Salesforce (CRP), delivering order intake and margin targets
  • Leading GA Sales Managers and Specialists, aligning them with regional strategy, business plans, and policies. Around 20 FTEs across all countries
  • Support the P&L leader in transforming the sales teams into a more software and services sales related organization, identifying digitization needs of our customers and industry businesses
  • Shape go‑to‑market strategies, negotiate agreements, support tender managers, and drive customer negotiations
  • Identify new opportunities, support digital transformation toward software/services sales, and foster innovation with partners
  • Support Tender Managers in formulating deal structure, assessing technical and commercial risks, defining pricing, and developing proposals
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services

Requirements

  • Bachelor/master’s degree from an accredited university or college, commercial focussed background
  • Strong commercial awareness, specialized knowledge, and leadership skills to manage teams, interpret challenges, influence strategy, and communicate complex concepts effectively
  • Solid previous experience in product/software sales functions within the energy business, commercial customer knowledge and established relationships
  • A minimum of 5 years leading a Sales team in a large international environment
  • Ability to understand and improve processes in a cross-functional environment
  • Fluency in German and English, other languages are a plus
  • Knowledge of pricing, costs and product accounting, analytical skills
  • Experience in carrying out market assessments and implementing relevant commercial strategies to facilitate market penetration
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time (DACH & Poland mostly, open for international travels)
