About the role
- Be the financial business partner to the management team, advising, supporting, alerting, and constructively challenging management on critical issues affecting financial performance and KPIs.
- Act as a key stakeholder to drive and implement the new-build service strategy to deliver projects on time and within budget while achieving SQDC quarter over quarter.
- Ensure robust risk management through strategic mitigation plans with clear owners and disciplined execution.
- Support claims management with clear long-term visibility to maximize entitlements.
- Improve risk and opportunity identification to help deliver projects on budget.
- Drive and manage safety, quality, delivery, and cost optimization.
- Optimize headcount and drive structural cost improvements for the region.
- Use lean fundamentals and innovation to challenge the status quo, eliminate waste, and simplify processes and tools.
- Lead finance colleagues in managing the company’s finances, including project controlling, financial planning, management of financial risks, and financial reporting.
- Lead and collaborate with the finance team to prioritize and implement controllership initiatives and ensure ongoing achievement of controllership excellence.
- Ensure regulatory compliance within Finance and across the business.
- Drive timeliness and accuracy in financial closing and reporting, and manage related communications with HQ.
- Support general accounting and monthly/quarterly close procedures and reporting processes.
- Adopt digital and LEAN strategies to improve existing processes and tools and introduce new ideas.
- Manage key staff activities including selection, onboarding, communication, performance planning, development, and recognition.
- Coach and mentor team members, develop talent for the future, and build a strong succession pipeline for key finance leadership roles.
- Collaborate with functional heads to ensure smooth project execution and support cross-functional organizational initiatives.
Requirements
- Qualified CA, MBA, or an equivalent finance degree from a reputable institute.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Controllership, and/or Audit.
- Experience with large-scale EPC projects is preferred.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to work effectively with leadership at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Experience working in a global matrix organization and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Broad-based finance experience and understanding of statutory requirements.
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and able to operate effectively in a team environment.
- Zero tolerance for compliance breaches.
