About the role
- Develop and maintain an understanding of rod control systems used in existing and new boiling water reactors (BWRs).
- Prepare and maintain system requirements specifications developed based on customer requirements, technical regulations and industry standards
- Establish and maintain traceability of system requirements using requirements management tools
- Prepare and maintain system design artifacts such as logic diagrams, input/output (I/O) lists, equipment and cabinet layout diagrams or drawings, system elementary drawings, hardware wiring/connection diagrams, bills of material, various plans and reports, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent 4-year technical degree
- 5 years' experience with productivity software [i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio]
- 10+ years’ experience with “from scratch” system and software design, configuration, analysis, testing, and modeling related to: Distributed Control Systems (DCS) OR Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) OR Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
- 5 years' experience designing human machine interface screens or graphical user interfaces
- 4 years' experience working with motor positioning/servo systems using closed loop control
- 4 years' experience developing software supporting serial and Ethernet data communications
- 4 years with configuration and operation of networking components
- 7+ years' experience working under a structured systems and software development lifecycle process including use of industry standards, design practices, and guides for software development and testing.
- Eligibility Requirements: Remote work from within the US acceptable. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
