About the role
- Provides technical direction and oversight of In Vessel Visual Inspection (IVVI) activities during Nuclear Power Plant Inspection Projects
- Oversight of the IVVI Tooling Engineers and tooling projects
- Delivers inspection tooling to customer sites while fulfilling an IVVI Tooling Technician role in addition to the technical lead role
- Project lead for all IVVI Tooling Engineers
- Direct input on New Tooling Development for IVVI
- Management of Life cycle for all IVVI Tooling
- Overhead Budget Tracking on Tooling Projects
- Ownership and oversight of CR actions for all IVVI Tooling
- Act as Lead for all Camera Technicians and Camera related issues
- Support the planning of GVH project schedules and delivery
- Provide task leadership, technical direction, work coordination and supervision of work teams composed of GVH and contingent worker personnel and GVH IVVI Tooling Engineers
- Establish appropriate relationships and interact effectively with customers and supplier management on commercial, technical & compliance issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3 years experience in the Nuclear Industry OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear inspection activities
- Minimum of 3 years of nuclear services related experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% domestically and internationally
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb 10 flights of stairs twice per day
- Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical
- Ability to gain and maintain Fitness For Duty requirements and site security requirements for unescorted access to domestic and international work locations
- Experience operating and repairing GVH IVVI tooling
- Familiar with GVH Inventory processes
- Certified RST level II or above
- BS Degree in Engineering
- Experience and knowledge around BWR reactor internals and GVH automated inspection equipment
- Proven leadership capabilities with ability to motivate others and achieve results
- Ability to work under high stress conditions
