About the role
- Execute due diligence and underwriting of large and complex energy project finance investments, including review of legal documentation and consultant reports such as market studies and independent engineer reports
- Perform financial and valuation analysis on projects and companies
- Prepare detailed financial models and developing and running sensitivity analyses on market, technical, financing, taxation, and other drivers
- Present and defend analyses and approval requests to senior leadership with a clear and consistent approach to mitigate project risks
- Protect and realize the value of portfolio investments through monitoring key performance indicators, evaluating project modifications/restructurings, and executing asset sales
- Train and mentor junior investment professionals on a deal-by-deal basis
- Support GE Vernova strategic initiatives, special projects, and new business development opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years or MBA with 1+ years of progressive professional experience in project finance / infrastructure finance, or exposure to large commercial transactions in a related field such as accounting, commodities, corporate finance/M&A, energy project development, or strategic management consulting
- 1+ years of experience with financial modeling, valuation, and business and financial analysis skills
- 1+ years of experience preparing and delivering presentations to management and peers
- Demonstrated experience leading small project groups and or teams
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must comply with pre-employment screening, including drug testing, reference verification, and background check
