About the role
- Generate and maintain detailed quality reports for major component upgrades
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement
- Present quality findings and recommendations to project teams and management during weekly meetings with internal and external teams
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests of main bearing brushes as part of the upgrade process
- Ensure that main bearing brushes meet specified performance and reliability standards
- Document inspection results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
- Oversee the quality assurance processes for Core 100 components during upgrades
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for Core 100
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to address any quality issues related to Core 100
- Work closely with NAM Operations and NAM Project Managers to ensure alignment of quality goals with project objectives
- Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related insights and recommendations
- Support cross-functional teams in achieving project milestones and deliverables
- Conduct random field audits on GE Vernova Team and Contractor Teams as well as follow up actions from the audit
- Identify opportunities for enhancing quality assurance processes and procedures
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the MCU Team
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to component upgrades
- Keep stakeholders informed of quality status, issues, and improvements
- Communicate with NAM and Global Engineering on improvements or changes needed
- Manage expectations and ensure that quality concerns are addressed promptly
- Monthly Quality reporting to NAM Senior Operations Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field, or at least 5 years of Wind Technician Experience
- Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably within the technology or manufacturing sector
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes and standards
- Experience with generating and analyzing quality reports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency in quality assurance tools and software
