About the role
- lead the creation, design, and analysis for the next generation of Gas Power products
- define competitive product requirements, design product concepts and transition the results into New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
- identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet product line needs
- partner with Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and stakeholders to create competitive advanced gas turbine and plant product solutions
- integrate and develop pre-NPI conceptual design processes
- demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives
- drive consistent “apples-to-apples” assumptions and technical comparisons
- develop gas turbine conceptual design product cost, performance and operability design tools and methods
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- significant and demonstrated experience in gas turbine technical product design and development or plant systems
- hands-on expertise using complex engineering design tools and processes
- strong background in one or more relevant fundamental sciences such as fluid mechanics, structural mechanics, aerodynamics, combustion, thermodynamics, heat transfer
