About the role
- Lead and manage a technical team specializing in HVDC Control & Protection Systems
- Oversee design, development, and implementation of complex HVDC systems
- Deliver leadership in engineering project processes
- Oversee engineering resources, schedules, and project milestones
- Develop and verify PSCAD network models, MATLAB application models, control system block diagrams
- Create and refine control algorithms and state machines in MATLAB Simulink
- Interface closely with customers and stakeholders
- Ensure project plans guarantee technical compliance, reliability, and safety
- Shape functional policies and promote the organization’s vision and values
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
- 10+ years experience in the HVDC sector
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in HVDC Control & Protection architecture
- Advanced understanding of plant modeling, dynamic system performance studies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Fluency in German is an advantage
