Serve as the technical leader on the transient analysis team
Make immediate contributions working with an energetic, diverse team of engineers performing Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) transient analyses and thermal hydraulic analyses supporting a variety of applications
Lead projects applying nuclear/thermal hydraulic methods, nuclear power plant operations and safety analyses
Demonstrate compliance with licensing requirements
Resolve emergent BWR plant problems
Provide technical leadership on a production-oriented engineering analysis team for all aspects of the engineering design process
Ensure on-time delivery of thorough and accurate engineering technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations
Identify and manage technical risk and assist in developing workable plans for engineering deliverables
Prepare, communicate, and present solutions to complex technical issues for internal and external customers
Implement continual improvement of transient analysis work processes
Provide expertise on engineering design reviews
Provide technical mentoring to support transient analysis staff development and knowledge management
Requirements
B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, or similar)
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a technology or engineering role
M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Senior Reactor Operator Certification (desired)
Relevant experience with BWR core simulation or thermal-hydraulic systems analysis (e.g. PANACEA, ODYN, TRACG, RELAP)
Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques
Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response
Extensive knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR
Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques
Collaborative mindset and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others

Ability to communicate with credibility and confidence
