About the role
- Lead fluid system design reviews and coordinate necessary milestones and action items to closure
- Develop component specifications as needed and coordinate the interface requirements to the mechanical design, electrical design, and controls teams
- Support business critical programs like Product Cost Out (PCO) and Reliability, Accessibility and Maintainability (RAM)
- Utilize fluid system expertise to support overall Aero internal and external customers
- Conduct component and product integration
- Manage product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down
- Drive validation and verification activities for the overall product/system
- Define product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams
- Manage interface between components and execution organizations
- Drive CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components
- Manage the overall product configuration and configuration control system
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with Unigraphics NX
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Prior experience with system design or component selection
