About the role
- Lead forensic investigations into infrastructure incidents, equipment failures, and operational anomalies.
- Reconstruct event timelines using logs, telemetry, protection records, and sequence of events data.
- Perform structured root cause analysis using evidence-based methodologies.
- Conduct technical assessments of electrical, mechanical, and controls system disruptions.
- Perform site inspections and evaluate physical component condition when required.
- Translate investigation findings into clear risk statements and corrective actions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented and validated.
- Identify recurring failure patterns across sites, equipment types, or configurations.
- Develop clear forensic reports and present findings to technical and operational stakeholders.
- Contribute to investigation standards, documentation templates, and knowledge sharing across the fleet.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in forensic engineering, root cause analysis, or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical system behavior and failure mechanisms.
- Experience analyzing operational data, system logs, and technical evidence.
- Experience conducting structured root cause investigations and documenting findings clearly.
