About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the entire process from design through ongoing development of the open-source collaboration services
  • Support the Swiss Army in achieving its digital sovereignty goals
  • Make architecture decisions and steer implementation in a scaled agile environment
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and security teams
  • Build and document highly available, security-critical applications
  • Conceptualize, design, and evolve the system architecture for collaboration services
  • Integrate solutions into the datacenter platform
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders on technologies and solution approaches
  • Consider scalability, high availability, security, and performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree (university/University of Applied Sciences) in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
  • Several years' experience developing and documenting target architectures for open-source collaboration solutions
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux as well as container platforms and orchestration, e.g., Kubernetes
  • Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code using Ansible
  • Solid understanding of identity and access management with common directory services and protocols
  • Knowledge of networking, web servers, and relational databases
  • Knowledge of security concepts and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery, and maintaining architecture models in common EAM tools and knowledge platforms
  • Very good command of German, both written and spoken; knowledge of other national languages is an advantage
