About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, operation and further development of the Linux infrastructure (focus on RHEL-based systems)
  • Development and maintenance of automation and configuration scripts (Ansible, Bash, Python)
  • Integration of the Linux platform into a broader infrastructure ecosystem (IAM, monitoring, logging, network, storage etc.), including analysis and management of dependencies with other system components
  • Implementation of strict security and compliance requirements (CIS Benchmarks, SELinux, vulnerability management and general hardening)
  • Ensuring high system availability and lifecycle management (patching, hardening, updates)
  • Performance optimization and scaling of Linux environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed vocational or academic education in computer science (EFZ, HF, FH or university)
  • Several years of professional experience in project work building, enhancing and orchestrating large Linux environments, ideally with a focus on RHEL
  • Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
  • Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL, SUSE or other distributions)
  • Advanced knowledge in automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform)
  • Experience in lifecycle and patch management of large Linux system landscapes
  • Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), LPIC-2 or equivalent qualifications are an advantage
  • Experience with agile working methods (SAFe, Scrum) is an advantage
  • Enjoy working with complex systems and implementing them
  • Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and colleagues
  • Good self-organization, initiative and an implementation-oriented mindset
