About the role

  • Produce financial statements for IGR and external retrocession with a focus on IFRS17 during quarterly closing cycles
  • Validate and analyze financial figures, serving as the main point of contact for inquiries related to internal and external retrocession results
  • Drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and exploring new technologies to enhance accuracy and productivity
  • Ensure data integrity and completeness within our financial systems
  • Support strategic initiatives and projects related to the financial reporting landscape

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field (or Swiss qualification: Fachmann/-frau im Finanz‑ und Rechnungswesen)
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Interest in quarterly closing processes and financial reporting
  • Willingness to learn and work with finance systems (e.g. SAP, FPSL, LFD)
  • Good proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Basic knowledge of other international/local accounting standards (US GAAP, SCO, Swiss GAAP FER)
  • First exposure to accounting, auditing, or finance roles (internships, working student roles, projects)
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
