Director of Partnerships – Commercial Strategy

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Canadian Paralympic Committee's Partnerships and Business Development functions.
- Drive revenue growth, strengthen partner value, and advance CPC's strategic priorities through innovative commercial opportunities.
- Provide strategic leadership across partnership portfolio management, business development, and commercial strategy.
- Lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering exceptional partner experiences.
- Secure sustainable revenue growth and maximize the value of CPC's commercial assets.
- Shape CPC's commercial strategy and identify opportunities to create value for athletes, partners, and supporters.
- Collaborate with the Chief Commercial & Impact Officer and colleagues to transform strategic priorities into innovative initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of progressive experience in partnerships, sponsorship, business development, commercial strategy, or related disciplines.
- Relevant post-secondary education and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success managing partnership portfolios, commercial growth, and strategic renewals.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience working with senior executives and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and project leadership abilities.
- Experience developing athlete-centred commercial opportunities and working with athletes, athlete representatives, agents, or talent managers is considered a strong asset.
- Experience developing commercial opportunities via social and digital platforms is considered a strong asset.
- Experience developing, delivering, and measuring social impact programs.
