About the role
- Make recruitment calls to Vote Forward volunteers through a dialer to ask them to join Vote Forward and the California Prop 50 campaign.
- Attend training and follow guidance for phone banking and making effective volunteer recruitment calls.
- Join scheduled training and phone bank events hosted via Zoom and sign up for sessions.
- Use an online calling system/dialer that automatically dials phone numbers and connects the caller to a person when they pick up, keeping personal information like phone numbers secure.
- Use a personal laptop/computer and phone to join phone bank events and make calls through a dialer.
- Follow a written script during phone conversations.
- Support Vote Forward’s efforts to recruit, train, and activate volunteers at scale in the final month of the California Prop 50 campaign.
Requirements
- Located and eligible to work in the United States.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Interest in and alignment with the mission and values of Vote Forward and our campaign to contact Democratic voters about California’s Proposition 50.
- Ability to attend virtual training (1-2 hours) and phone bank events (2-4 hours) via Zoom at pre-scheduled times, from start to end, including some evenings and weekends (before 9 pm ET).
- Reliable access to a laptop/computer, internet, and a cell phone that can be used for the responsibilities of this role.
- Ability to make phone calls for 3 hours at a time without significant interruptions.
- Ability to read and follow a written script and instructions.
- Ability to verbally communicate with individuals over the phone.
- Not able to sponsor visas; employer uses E-Verify during onboarding to complete the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
