About the role

  • Direct marketing campaign orchestration across channels (email, social, and web)
  • Lead the organization’s email program end to end—owning strategy, calendaring, and execution, managing an external digital agency to craft high-quality, on-brand content, and serving as the lead internal editor and approver of content
  • Help build SMS and digital advertising programs
  • Oversee CRM operations and innovation, including segmentation, list hygiene, deliverability, automation, and reporting
  • Own and steward the editorial calendar for owned media, ensuring consistency of voice, message alignment, and seamless cross-departmental orchestration
  • Directly manage one full-time staff member, cultivate their writing and editorial skills, manage the organization’s external digital (email) agency, and partner closely with the Director of Social Media & Creative to execute cohesive marketing campaign communications
  • Run launches and rapid response: anticipate key moments, map out rollouts across channels, and steer the minute-by-minute execution across teams
  • Write, edit, and approve high-quality, on-brand web content, and cultivate the work of other contributors
  • Track and interpret performance data to maintain a strong view of response rates and outcomes for fundraising and volunteer recruitment, communicate insights and implications to internal stakeholders, and utilize learnings to shape the editorial calendar and ensure campaigns are on track to meet organizational goals
  • Explore and realize integration with broader digital storytelling across website, landing pages, and campaign microsites via collaboration with internal teams (Social/Creative and Product) and external partners

  • Track record of using owned channels to drive grassroots fundraising, engagement, and mobilization at scale, including during rapid-response moments
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing talent, and at holding vendors and consultants accountable to high standards
  • Ability to manage complex editorial calendars, uphold brand consistency, and juggle competing deadlines with grace
