About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform all Project Manager responsibilities
  • Manage multiple or large, complex construction projects
  • Estimate and establish budgets and contract prices
  • Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases
  • Implement job procedures for timely buyout, shop drawing approval and material delivery
  • Keep projects on schedule
  • Maintain relationships with Owners, Architects and Subcontractors
  • Develop and implement safety plans with the Superintendent
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to management
  • Manage, train and supervise project teams
  • Organize regular management and subcontractor meetings
  • Review contract conditions and ensure compliance with contract terms
  • Supervise documentation of accidents, delays and Change Orders
  • Direct preconstruction services and activities
  • Prepare and issue subcontract bid packages
  • Assist with business development and participate in job interviews
  • Maintain project quality control
  • Support estimating staff
  • Avoid or mitigate claims and conflict
  • Complete project close-out procedures
  • Conduct warranty follow-up
  • Complete projects with full or enhanced fee

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven professional experience delivering complex construction projects
  • Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or construction management education considered a foundation, not a requirement
  • 8–12+ years of progressive construction management experience
  • Prior experience on Data Centers / Mission-Critical facilities, or process-driven industrial or energy projects (power generation, oil & gas, chemical)
  • Demonstrated leadership of complex MEP or process-heavy projects
  • Experience in fast-track or phased construction environments
  • Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to challenge drawings and models to identify constructability, coordination, and scope issues
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
  • Thorough understanding of project management control systems, including scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating
