The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion for applied HVAC solutions including chillers, heat pumps and air handling units within their designated region.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the HVAC industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of sales success.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales targets.
Present technical information before groups of building owners, architects, engineers and/or contractors that are based on a strong understanding of the Psychrometric Chart.
Research and monitor prospective and competing representatives within the assigned region.
Assign and/or Reassign territories to qualified representatives to achieve sales goals and implement company strategy.
Serve as primary point-of-contact for reps and their customers in the territory.
Gather information from internal resources; provide communication of information with customers.
Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the region.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns.
Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote Swegon’s products and solutions.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to ensure high performance and achievement of sales goals.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the HVAC industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of the HVAC market, products, and industry trends.
Experience with applied system sales with chillers, air handling units, heat pumps and BAS controls
Proven track record of creating basis of design solutions with consulting engineers for drawings and specifications.
Experience and proven ability to present technical information before groups of building owners, architects, engineers and/or contractors.
Superior communication skills.
Comfortable dealing with HVAC end users at Universities, Colleges, and School Boards
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel 30-40% of the time both locally and internationally.
