About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate closely with the development team, product managers, and designers to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing, to validate complex functionality, edge cases, and user scenarios.
- Adapt testing efforts across different platforms, including desktop, web, and mobile, while covering backend, frontend, and end-to-end testing layers.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to incident management by identifying and escalating risks, and assisting in mitigation and resolution efforts to maintain product reliability.
- Continuously improve the QA process by proposing and implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality goals, testing timelines, and release plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience (5+ years) as a QA Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on manual testing of complex software products.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with hands-on experience in manual testing.
- Experience in Windows desktop application testing is essential.
- Experience in backend, frontend and e2e testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think critically and identify potential risks and areas of improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Independent and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of performance testing, security testing, or other specialized testing areas is a plus.
- Experience with mobile testing will be a plus.
